The Pardubice Children Choir Iuventus Cantas was founded in 1960 by the conductor, Mr Vlastislav Novak. Within a short time the choir progressed to the top Czech children choirs. It is now a distinguished representative not only on the international scene of the City of Pardubice but also of Czech choir art. This is testified by a number of prize winning appreciations in choir competitions in the Czech Republic as well as in the world.
The choir performed in the most famous concert halls in Europe, America, Asia (Japan, Taiwan, China) and also in Australia.
It worked together with a number of professional bodies, orchestras and soloists in the Czech Republic and abroad (Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, Vilnius Quartette of the Lithuanian Philharmonic, Kaunas Chamber Orchestra, Janacek Quartet, Virtuosi di Prague etc.). The Iuventus Cantas Choir performs on average about 40 concerts annually, in the Czech Republic and abroad.
At present the choir has five singing departments. During 45 years of its existence, thousands of children from all Pardubice schools took their turns in the Choir.
Since September 2006, the artistic Supervisor and the Choir Master of the Pardubice Children Choir Iuventus Cantas, is Mr Zdenek Kudrnka.
